Dr. Carmen Moldovan is the Director of the “Research Center for Integration of Technologies” at IMT-Bucharest (www.imt.ro). She graduated in Electronics and Telecommunications and holds a PhD in Microsensors. She was working at Microelectronica Bucharest in CMOS Technology and joints IMT-Bucharest in 1995, working in simulation, design, technology and characterization of sensors and microsystems. She was/is involved in more than 20 EU Projects and 30 National Projects and published more of 120 papers.
Dr. Moldovan is currently working in bio – chemosensors and heterogeneous integration in portable and wearable systems such as: Autonomous system for nitrites/nitrates and heavy metals detection; Blood pressure monitoring bracelet; Platform for Pesticides Detection: Micro Immunosensors Platform for Metabolic Syndrome Investigation, Point of care for early Acute Myocardial Infarction detection, Air monitoring systems, Piezoelectric MEMS Harvesters, Electronic Nose and implantable devices for human nervous system excitation and detection.
